Doc started playing piano for church revivals in Texas when he was eight. His love for music led him to Interlochen Center for the Arts, where he attended both the Camp and Academy. He earned his way through medical school playing bassoon with the Fort Worth Symphony. He is a strong solo vocalist and is highly accomplished on guitar, bouzouki, piano, and concertina. He has played all over Michigan and currently leads his own family band, Cherry Blossom Ramblers. As an accomplished player of Irish traditional music, he is a lead musician in TC Celtic. He speaks five languages and has a large repertoire of Russian folk songs. Doc is a Psychiatrist and has been in practice for over 30 years. .
As a solo performer, he has a huge repertoire of songs. Doc can customize a program featuring any combination of folk, easy listening, oldies, patriotic songs, solo piano, show tunes, international music, classic country or ballads. He accompanies himself on guitar and keyboard. Utilizing a state-of-the-art Harmonizer and Beat Buddy, his sound is as rich and full as a complete band.
